This sweater workshop is designed for advanced beginner to intermediate knitters, and will start with basic sizing techniques, picking out a pattern that will flatter everyone’s figure, picking appropriate yarn, and getting the gauge right. The second class will actually start the knitting, and carry on until everyone has a great-fitting sweater.
Knitters taking this class must have basic knowledge of the knit and purl stitches knitting in the round.
Class Supply List:
Suggested book: Custom Knits by Wendy Bernard
Bring several favorite sweaters from your closet to the first class, and a selection of sweater patterns you’ve been wanting to make.
If you would like to make a custom “dress form,” bring an old t-shirt that reaches past your hips that you don’t mind destroying, two 60-feet rolls of duct tape, and a sturdy coat hanger.
