***Many changes have been made to this pattern so please DO NOT follow instructions in the book.
10 Min Block Book
1/2 yard 6 fabrics – Blocks/ pieced Border -OR - 1/3 yard 6 fabrics -Blocks/ 1 yard -Border
5/8 Yard Accent
1/2 Yard Inner Border
1/2 Yard Binding
Basic sewing supplies:
Rotary cutter with fresh blade, sewing machine with 1/4" foot,
silk pins, construction thread, matching thread for accents,
Seam ripper, scissors, ruler, and Bag Lunch
If you want a head start you can do the following prior to Class:
Starch and press all fabric
From the 6 - Block fabrics cut a total of 24- 10” Blocks, you will get 4 from each fabric. Bring left over fabric to class, it will be used to make pieced border.
From Accent fabric cut 8 – 10” Blocks
****PLEASE SEW STRIP SETS PRIOR TO CLASS
****If you want to make Blocks Stripped you can use:
1- Bali Pop
5/8 yard Accent
1/2 yard Inner Border
1/2 yard Binding
1 yard Border Fabric
Sew 6 sets of 5 strips. Before cutting check to be sure shortest strip is at least 42”
if so cut 4 -10 ½" Blocks from each strip set. If not cut 10” and trim ¼” from top and bottom of block.
