Beginning Quilting Class: Make Your First Quilt a Success!

Have you always wanted to learn how to quilt? Now’s your chance! Join Instructor Joyce at Northern Threads for an engaging, interactive, in-person beginner quilting class designed to help you confidently create your very first quilt.

This hands-on class will guide you step-by-step through the fundamentals of quilting—from fabric selection and cutting techniques to piecing and assembly. Whether you’re brand new to sewing or ready to expand your skills, you’ll gain the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience needed to begin your quilting journey.

Come learn, create, and join the adventure of quilting alongside fellow beginners in a fun and supportive environment!

Class Schedule

This is a two-session class:

• Saturday, February 28, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Saturday, March 7, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Supply List

Please bring the following items to complete your quilt:

• Sewing machine

• Thread

• Ruler (at least 6" x 12")

• Square ruler (12" x 12")

• Rotary cutter (45mm)

• Cutting mat

• Scissors

• Quarter-inch foot (if you have one)

• Pins

• Seam ripper

• Water-erasable pen

• Notepad

• 4–6 fabrics (at least ½ yard of each)
